Morten Franck | Sourcing manager, Telia

The expansion of the collaboration in the first half of 2020 was a result of the framework agreements put in place in 2016-2018, and will strengthen Telia's investment in remote surveillance and monitoring of the telecommunications network. The agreement covers all base stations in Telia's network in Norway. The goal is for the agreement to contribute to net zero emissions by 2030, through remote monitoring 24/7, reduced field maintenance needs and reduced footprint in nature.

Helped Bertel O Steen to renegotiate this contract with Telenor in 2018. The agreement applied both to infrastructure for all 240 dealerships & distributors, as well as telephony for 2,500 employees in Norway. Without a reliable network infrastructure partner, the company grinds to a halt​​​​​​​. The CO2 footprint has increased to 740,000 tonnes with a turnover of NOK 22.7 billion​​​​​​​. Sales of EVs already far exceed the government's ambitious target of an 80% share in 2025. This constitute a major achievement in the contribution to net zero targets.

Hydropower | Aker Horizons

Assisted the client with the purchase of new generators with 5-10MW power, which was part of a larger generator renegotiation and transformer procurement in 2019-2020. The company Rainpower, which was part of Kværner/GE, was acquired and incorporated into Aker horizons in 2021/22. Modern hydropower will play a crucial role in regulating the emergence of new green industries and stabilizing energy supply from wind, hydrogen and solar. Upgrades of existing hydropower plants and new concessions are seen as important enablers of the energy transition with more than 1650 plants in operation nationwide, with a potential of 10TWh by 2030.

Brevik CCS, Aker Carbon Capture

Assisted client with strategy, tender management and procurement for Brevik CCS in the EPCI phase in the period 2021-2023. The world's first full-scale CO2 purification plant for the cement industry. Responsible for supplier selection, tendering, strategic collaboration, supply and coordination with Northern Lights and Langskip. Delivered within budget, quality and on time. Langskip is the authority's CO2 capture project where Brevik CCS is part of the partnership and will capture 400,000 tons of CO2 per year. Planned start-up is during 2025/26.

East Anglia 3, HVDC

The East Anglia III field is wholly owned by ScottishPower Renewables. The project includes 95 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW wind turbines covering an area of ​​305 km2. The offshore converter platform, weighing almost 10,000 tonnes, for which LPC has provided procurement assistance, will be transported to the offshore location in 2025. Ahead of the planned completion of the entire development in 2026. EA3 will be the world’s second largest operating offshore wind farm, with an output of 1.4 GW. In total, the entire £6.5 billion East Anglia field consists of two other offshore wind farms with a combined potential of 3.1 GW. When completed, the HVDC platform will transfer electricity back to shore for more than 1.3 million homes, making a significant contribution to the UK’s zero emissions ambition by 2030.
